Update (July 21st): Using newly released (cur­rently only in Web­kit Nightly releases) 3D trans­forms, a three dimen­sional, rotat­ing cube with cor­rect per­spect­ive is pos­sible, and as a bonus  –  the cube can be nav­ig­ated using arrow keys.
